Vladimir Putin has two daughters, Mariya and Yekaterina.
Over his long political career, Putin always kept his children, out of the limelight, never permitting them to be seen and rarely even speaking about them.
Mariya Vladimirovna Putina
Mariya - now known as Maria Vorontsova - was born on April 28, 1985, to Putin and his ex-wife Lyudmila.
She is an endocrinologist and has a career in medical research. According to reports, Maria is an expert on dwarfism.
She is married to a Dutch businessman, Jorrit Faassen, with whom she has a family, making Putin a grandfather.
In June 2020, unseen pictures of Putin's daughters as teenagers emerged from the private collection of an estranged friend.
They were released as part of a $15 million legal case brought against the Russian state by former Putin confident Sergei Pugachev.
Yekaterina Tikhonova
Yekaterina - born on August 31, 1986 - known by the family name of her maternal grandmother, Tikhonova, has gone from being an acrobatic dancer to spearheading a major new Russian artificial intelligence initiative.

Putin has not spoken about Rozova, also known as Elizaveta Krivonogikh.
Putin's alleged daughter was born to Putin's alleged ex-lover, Svetlana Krivonogikh.
Since being "outed" by the opposition media in 2021, student Luiza had become a social media star with almost 100,000 followers with her own fashion line called 123th Ave.
However, Luiza has since deleted that account and created another with only over 5,000 followers.
The fashion designer often posts her creations and insights into her life as a freelance DJ when she is not designing clothes.
Luiza has admitted to Russian GQ that she “probably” looks “similar” to a young Putin, but did not confirm the relationship.
Putin’s relationship with Svetlana supposedly ended around the time he was first romantically linked to Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Alina Kabaeva, 38, head of a major pro-Kremlin media company.
When the story originally broke, Putin’s spokesperson said that the love child allegations were “not very convincing” and “de facto unfounded”.
Is Vladimir Putin expecting any more children?
Rumors about Putin already having two secret sons from Alina had already been in circulation.
It is rumored that his first son was born in Switzerland in 2015 and the other was born in Russia in 2019.
Alina's second son is named Dmitry Vladimirovich Kabaev. Vladimirovich means "Vladimir's son."
In May 2022, more rumors rose that Alina was once again pregnant but it is not certain who the father would be.
