These breathtaking photographs allow a glimpse into the Royal Navy, with snapshots of a rescue mission to save 5,000 migrants fleeing from Africa, battle training exercises and trekking through Antarctica.
The images are part of an annual photography competition and show the varied and adventurous life of marines and sailors.
Although the stereotypical image of the Royal Navy is usually one that conjures boats, the photos entered into this year's contest captured an armoured vehicle in the desert underneath a starry sky.
Another shows a helicopter flying over a barren landscape on a training exercise.
Simmo Simpson won the Best Maritime Image Award for his photograph of HMS Dauntless sailing through Gibraltar at sunset.
Lieutenant Jamie Weller took home the Royal Navy Amateur Maritime Image Award and Will Haigh won the coveted Royal Navy Photographer of the Year for images including a young Marine composing himself in the final round of a boxing match.
