Girl, 6, is snatched while playing then raped, bludgeoned to death with stone and her body dumped in a sack in Pakistan

A SIX-year-old girl who was snatched whilst out playing was raped, bludgeoned to death with a rock before being dumped in a sack.

The child, named locally as Seema, was playing outside her home in Pakistan when she was snatched.

The tragic attack happened on Monday in Nowshera in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

When her panicked family realised that Seema was missing, they sounded the alarm and asked for neighbours to help search for her.

Announcements were made over loudspeakers in nearby mosques and good samaritans offered to scout the area.

Horrified villagers eventually found a sack dumped in a field and alerted the police, .

When officers arrived, they opened the sack to find the bloodied body of the little girl.

FAMILY'S ANGUISH

Immediately they knew the tiny body belonged to Seema and she was taken to Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex Nowshera from where it was referred to Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar.

It was there that police said the girl was hit over the head and other body parts with a large stone multiple times.

Her death sparked fury on social media, with many users posting pictures of the girl.

Human rights group Voice of Pakistan Minority, tweeted: "Once again an angel left the Earth in pain and tears.

"A 6 yr old girl, Seema from Bajaur was raped and brutally murdered in Nowshera. Is this the kind of atmosphere we are creating for our children?"

In January this year, an eight-year-old girl was raped and murdered in the same district in Pakistan.

Similar to Seema, she had left her home in the afternoon for school and never returned home.

According to Sahil, a non-Government Organisation, as many as eight children were sexually abused every day in Pakistan 2019.

According to a new report, there is a 25 percent decrease in the figures this year, from the previous year.
