He was convicted of child pornography offences at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to making an indecent photograph of a child and distribution of the image between August 19 and September 14 in 2014.

He also admitted inciting a child to be involved in pornography and was found to be in possession of extreme pornographic images after pictures were found during a download of his mobile phone.

He is currently suspended from duties while the Metropolitan Police carry out an investigation.

Detective Sergeant Kerry Bradfield, the investigating officer, said: “Thames Valley Police takes all reports of sexual offences seriously and will listen and treat anyone who comes forward to report a sexual offence with the utmost sensitivity.

“McMillan pleaded guilty to these offences, which were carried out against a teenage girl."

McMillan is due to be sentenced on July 4 at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court.
