Duncan Bannatyne’s wife Nigora Whitehorn slams ‘disgusting and filthy’ luxury Italian hotel
DUNCAN Bannatyne's wife Nigora Whitehorn has blasted a "disgusting and filthy" luxury Italian hotel.
The Dragon's Den's star's partner refused to stay at the Villa Mon Repos in Sicily, branding it a "total bulls*** con".
In a video rant, she moaned about "rude" management and cleanliness, but was refused a refund after a four-night stay with millionaire gym tycoon Bannatyne, 71, MailOnline reports.
Nigora labelled the pool "terrible" and claimed staff refused to wear face coverings in a video she posted on social media.
Bannatyne - worth an estimated £280 million in 2018 - moved the couple to a five-star hotel after her Instagram tirade.
Nigora said: "This is meant to be a swimming pool of this three-star hotel, absolute con how they come across on the website and exactly what it is like inside this house/hotel, three-bedroom hotel in Sicily.
'DISGUSTING'
"It's terrible. So we're moving out because the room was disgusting. There's no restaurant, nothing here.
"The manager was so rude, we just asked him why the room was so filthy, can you please come and have a look.
"But he refused to come and check and now we are moving out and he refuses to refund this place, the four days and four nights that we paid for."
A four-night stay at Vila Mon Repos costs about £600.
Nigora went on to say they were moving to the five-star Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo, which costs about £600 a night, after their "absolutely atrocious" stay.
After relocating to the Belmond, she purred "cute, the best hotel in Taormina, absolutely gorgeous.".
The couple had booked at the Villa Mon Repos, but Nigora insisted it didn't look like the photos on its Instagram account.
But hotel manager Christian Busca hit back and blamed them for not planning their holiday.
Mr Busca told MailOnline: "Mrs Bannatyne and her husband came here and their secretary made their reservation and Mrs Bannatyne was thinking it was for seven days but it was for four days.
"They asked for additional days but I didn't have availability because I have a wedding, from this time they tried to find any problem in our hotel and they said it was dirty and a lot of other things.
"Mr and Mrs Bannatyne don't understand that our villa is an old villa… it's not bright like a spa, it might be different to what they're used to seeing.
"It's not our fault if you're not able to plan your holiday. They booked the smaller room that we have – they didn't book the suite."
Earlier this year, Dragon's Den star Bannatyne quit the UK's coronavirus lockdown and jetted to his £3 million Portugal villa with his wife after furloughing 2,500 staff.
He proposed to Nigora - who is 31 years younger than him - in 2016 with a £40k ring in Monte Carlo.
They tied the knot in a ceremony in Portugal in 2017, followed by a honeymoon to Croatia.
The pair have been an item since 2015, after Bannatyne popped into the dental surgery on London's Harley Street where she was working in 2014.
