Stella Moris, born Sara Gonzalez Devant, is the wife of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

Born on November 20, 1983, Moris is a lawyer and a member of Assange’s legal team.

She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and holds Spanish and Swedish nationality.

Moris moved to , where she received her degree in law and politics from SOAS University of London.

She then received her master’s degree in refugee law from the University of Oxford before getting her second master’s at the Complutense University of .

The couple met in 2011 and began dating in 2015, with Assange proposing in 2020.

There were four guests and two witnesses present at the wedding of Stella Moris and Julian Assange at Belmarsh prison.

The couple were able to marry despite Assange’s imprisonment in high-security HMP Belmarsh and the fact that he faces extradition to the US for allegedly leaking sensitive material about the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

Moris, who was dressed in Vivienne Westwood, addressed the crowds who had gathered outside the prison: ‘He’s the most amazing person in the world and he should be free,” she said.
