Jamie Vardy’s wife gassed by French cops as they fight off Russian football thugs in Marseilles
Rebekah Vardy rescued from hooligan horror as Russian yobs rain punches on England fans
England star Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah was rescued by police in clouds of tear gas after getting caught up in the football violence before the Three Lions' clash with Russia.
The 33-year-old beauty, who married the Premiership-winning Leicester idol last month, had been dining near the stadium in Marseilles when trouble flared.
Russian yobs attacked England fans being escorted to the ground by riot police following earlier disturbances.
Cops fired CS gas canisters at battling hooligans and water canon opened up as the model left the eatery to cheer on 29-year-old hubby Jamie.
At one point Rebekah -- in a white top, black jacket and khaki trousers -- was stranded as police locked a stadium entrance attempting to contain the riot.

"Then trouble broke out as she left and she found herself cornered when the stadium gates were shut.
"She looked terrified and very distressed as she was led through it all by her father and he covered her face with a coat to ward off the gas.
