Three injured in Shanghai after ‘homemade bombs’ explode in Pudong International Airport
The explosion detonated in the 'C' check-in area sending people scrambling for safety through the airport
THREE people have been rushed to hospital following a blast at Shanghai's Pudong International Airport.
The explosion was reportedly caused by a suspected 'homemade bomb' which detonated in the "C" check-in area.
Reports on the Airport's Weibo page, the Chinese Facebook, say the area has been cordoned off by police.
Flights have not been affected according to the authorities.
A report on Sina.com said two items of luggage about 50 feet apart exploded within five seconds of each other at around 2.20pm local time today.

A passenger identified only as Xue said she heard a man crying "no" and "ah" shortly before the blast as she arrived for her flight to Thailand.
She added that passengers ran to safety after the blast.
