Man, 23, dies after horror fall from scaffolding onto busy street in Glasgow

A MAN has died after falling from scaffolding on a busy Glasgow street.

Police and ambulance teams were spotted on Sauchiehall Street at around 6pm yesterday evening.

Officers appeared to have set up a cordon with the connecting junction to Garnet Street.

Two police vans and two ambulance vehicles were seen parked at the side of the street.

Police have now confirmed that a man, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say that there doesn't appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police were called around 5.50pm following the report that a man had fallen from scaffolding on Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
