Sister, 3, of abused girl, 7, who begged docs to die mysteriously died in suffocation ‘accident’ at home
POLICE in Mexico have been urged to probe the mystery death of the sister of an abused girl who said she'd rather die than go home.
Yaz, seven, begged doctors "don't cure me" when she was admitted to hospital with a collapsed lung - weeks after sister Mitzi, three, died from "accidental asphyxiation".
"Yaz began to be in poor health. They said that she had a fungus or bacteria in her stomach and when we saw her again, she was already shaved."
Court records show Yaz was injured and Mitzi died while in their father's custody, according to reports in Mexico.
Alejandra's family are outraged she has been charged with the same crimes as her estranged husband, insisting she was not there when the abuse occurred.
And she was even too afraid to attend Mitzi's funeral after Rafael accused her and her brother of hurting the kids, it is claimed.
Campaigners claim social services have been aware of the family's problems for a year but failed to stop the abuse.
Frida Guerrera, a woman's rights activist, believes Alejandra was also a victim of domestic violence and feared for her life.

She said: "If the Puebla authorities had done their job since January, when there were first indications the girl had suffered sexual violence, the girl would not be in hospital right now, and Mitzi would not be dead."
