Lesbian couple slam Facebook after it brands video of them touching foreheads ‘sexually explicit’
A SAME-SEX couple hit out at Facebook after a video of them gently touching foreheads was rejected as “sexually explicit adult content”.
Singer-songwriter Sera Golding-Young, 36, and wife Frankie, 32, posted the clip as a sponsored advert for a new album.
Sera, of Guildford, Surrey said: “When I saw the explanation I couldn’t believe my eyes.
"Two women in love, resting foreheads together is romantic — not sexual.”
She accused the social media giant of “silencing LGBTQ voices”.
Facebook told them the ban was due to dance moves in the clip but when they filmed the same moves with a man and woman, it passed.
A Facebook spokesman said: "The ad was originally rejected because it included explicit dancing and was accepted after additional review.
"The ad would not have been rejected for including images of same-sex couples because that content is of course allowed under our policies and can be found in advertising across the platform."
