Male stripper who bit his victims as he sexually assaulted them is jailed for 13 years
Paul Mansfield was described as a "dangerous sexual predator" by investigating police officers
A MALE stripper who raped vulnerable women on nights out before biting them has been jailed for 13 years.
Paul Mansfield, 28, preyed on women after setting himself up as a ‘naked butler’ where her served shots and champagne to revellers dressed in only his pants and a bow tie.
One of Mansfield’s victim’s was bitten on the neck as he raped her during a brutal attack on a night out in Blackpool.
Despite being arrested for the assault he was bailed and attacked again just three weeks later in the same area.
The second victim, who was on holiday, had become separated from her boyfriend when Mansfield struck, dragging her down an alleyway before molesting her, biting her on the chest and stealing her handbag.
At Preston crown court, bodybuilder Mansfield was branded a ”dangerous offender” as he was convicted of rape and attempted rape and an unrelated offence of possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.
Also known as ‘PJ’, Mansfield was regularly pictured in various states of undress on Facebook by hen parties.
He had previously posted a picture of himself flexing his muscles with the message: ”Buff butler for hen parties and birthday parties for all u ladies out there. U want to let ya hair down on a night out book in and u cud get this if u request it wen ya book a room.”
Lancashire Police said the first victim, 20, was attacked on June 17 2014 when she became separated from friends at the Kaos club.
She met Mansfield and after assuming he was staying at a hotel in Blackpool went back with him in the hope of having somewhere to sleep.
Instead Mansfield took her back to his flat where he slapped and bit his victim while he raped her.
He was arrested and later bailed by police when he claimed to have had consensual sex with the woman.
But he struck again within three weeks.
The court heard how Mansfield befriended a 21-year-old woman from Glasgow who had become separated from her boyfriend following an argument.
Mansfield, spotting the woman was drunk outside a pizza takeaway, offered to take her back to her hotel in a taxi.
They ended up on a nearby street where he dragged the woman down an alley, grabbed her by the throat and pushed her up against a wall, trying to pull her clothes off.
During the assault she begged him to leave her alone, saying she had a boyfriend and claimed to be pregnant in the hope he would stop.
She eventually pushed him off and ran away.
During the attack Mansfield stole the victim’s bag and bank card, withdrawing cash from a nearby cash point.
CCTV of Mansfield standing at the ATM was key to nailing the thug along with DNA taken from the bite mark to his victim’s chest.
He later denied having any physical contact with either of the women.
Today, Detective Constable Lisa Wainwright from Blackpool CID said: “I am very pleased with today’s result. Paul ‘PJ’ Mansfield is a dangerous sexual predator who targeted women who were clearly intoxicated and vulnerable.
“What is even more disturbing is how he used the guise of befriending the victims, offering to help them when he had clear intentions of assaulting them to satisfy his own sexual urges.
“My view is that had the second victim not fought him off, he would have raped her too.
“The victims have shown extreme courage in coming forward and I hope that today’s result will help them to move on with their lives knowing that Mansfield, who has shown no remorse for his crimes, is now behind bars.”
