REVENGE FOR ORLANDO

Hackers break into ISIS Twitter accounts to post gay pride messages, rainbows and links to gay porn

They want to 'defend those who are lost'

The Twitter accounts of ISIS supporters have been hacked and their jihadist content has been replaced with gay pride slogans and images of semi-naked men.

A hacker affiliated with Anonymous, known only as ‘WauchulaGhost’, began hacking pro-ISIS accounts several months ago, but following the Orlando shooting he decided to replace the pro-ISIS imagery on their profiles with pro-LGBT messages and links to gay porn.

“One thing I do want to say is we aren’t using graphic porn and our purpose is not to offend Muslims,” WachulaGhost says. “Our actions are directed at Jihadist extremists. Many of our own [group of hackers] are Muslim and we respect all religions that do not take innocent lives.”

ISIS has been using social media platforms such as Twitter as a tool for spreading propaganda and for recruitment. to combat this Twitter’s ‘tweet threat’ team has tripled in size over the last year.

Twitter has also taken action and shut down more than 125,000 twitter accounts promoting extremism.
