Barrister’s wife claims he gave her the infection via ‘bizarre sexual practices’ with a mistress
Katherine Simpson, 49, said she contracted the STI during her partner Jonathan's alleged 18-month affair
A WIFE claims she caught herpes from the 'bizarre sexual practises' between her husband and his mistress.
Katherine Simpson, 49, said she contracted the infection during her partner Jonathan's alleged 18-month affair.
The property lawyer and Jonathan - a barrister who described himself as a 'crack addict' who kept returning to the single mum for more - are accused of harassing the woman when the relationship ended.
Mrs Simpson was slapped with a restraining order in 2013 but prosecutors claim he and his wife launched a campaign against her.
It left the woman terrified to leave her home without a panic alarm.
Southwark Crown Court heard Mrs Simpson told cops: "Bizarre sexual practices...has given me herpes."
Asked to explain the comments, she told a jury: "You don't catch it, it is something that just emerges later.
"I believe that was how I got it."
Mrs Simpson, of Winchester, Hants, denied trying to contact the woman whom she initially described to police as "a f***** chat" and "gold digger".
However, today she insisted she felt "neutral" towards the woman.
