AN EX-MCDONALD'S worker has revealed some of the fast food chain's drive-thru secrets - including which meals are frozen and how to get fresh chips.

A woman named Amber shared a video to TikTok in which she claims to be an ex-McDonald's staff member in the UK.

She shared several secrets she had picked up while working there.

"I used to work at McDonald's and here are some fun facts that you probably didn't know," she said.

Amber said McDonald's fries are cooked in batches and then salted.

"So if you ask for no salt, you're going to get fresh fries," she said.

She said all meat that McDonald's uses comes frozen rather than fresh before being cooked.

She also revealed that the eggs that are used inside breakfast bagels come in liquid form inside cartons and are poured onto the grill before being served.

The apple pie takes the longest time to cook out of all the items on the menu, Amber claimed.

She claimed McDonald's workers can hear everything drive-thru customers are saying in their cars.

"When you pull forward in the drive-thru we can already see you and hear you, even though we haven't said hello," she said.

"When we actually put you on pause because we are busy, we can still hear you - the amount of insults I heard.'

Amber said there were sensors in the drive-thru which recorded how long customers had to sit and wait in their cars.

"If you see the black discs in drive-thru, they are sensors and they actually time how long you are there, hence why we park you up because we are competing with every other drive-thru in the country," she said.

Viewers commented on the video saying they agreed with Amber's revelations.

One said: "This was all true for the McDonald's I worked at."

Another said they "always ask for no salt for the fresh batch" of fries.

Others said they would now "stay silent" while using the McDonald's drive-thru.

The Sun Online has contacted McDonald's for comment.

Other McDonald's workers have offered up glimpses into the chain's kitchens and spilled secrets.

Last month, a McDonald's staffer showed how the restaurant cooks egg McMuffins.

TikTok user "austin.martinn" has shared videos on TikTok showing how food is prepared inside a McDonald's kitchen.

His videos come after a Wetherspoons chef recently shared similar behind-the-scenes TikTok videos and was later fired.

The McDonald's worker, who appears to live in Canada, shared how the restaurant chain makes eggs for McMuffins.

A video he shared shows how eggs are cracked into trays before a worker taps the top of the yolks.

The eggs are then put into a machine, a lid is closed and water is added to the top of the machine.

The lid is then lifted, revealing the perfectly-cooked eggs ready to be served.

TikTok user @, who appears to live in Scotland, claims the McDonald's she worked in would keep a book of complaints.

If you complained about your meal, she says staff would write your name down and you'd get a free meal next time you visit.

TikTok user @jodessy, who worked at McDonald's in the US, claims the way to make sure your food is cooked fresh every time is to ask for customisations.

This can be as simple as asking for no cheese, or no mayonnaise, she says.

McDonald's fans have also shared a similar hack on  where they say asking for no salt on your chips guarantees fresh fries every time.
