Football star Charlie Nicholas in fresh heartache as brother Stephen is found dead
Sky Sports pundit has lost his dad and his sister in recent years and now his brother too who died suddenly
FOOTBALL pundit Charlie Nicholas has suffered a new family heartbreak after his younger brother was found dead at home.
Stephen Nicholas, 45, died suddenly while his footballing brother is understood to have been on holiday in Spain.
The blow comes after ex-Scotland striker Charlie, 54, lost his dad and sister in recent years.
It’s understood that after the former Celtic and Arsenal striker heard the news on Tuesday night, he immediately flew home.

Last night it’s believed he was comforting his mum Christina, 81, at her home in Stepps, near Glasgow.
A friend said: “Charlie’s had plenty of grief to cope with in the past few years — he’s lost his dad, sister and now brother. He’ll be shattered.
“His first thought was to be with his mum and he took the first flight he could get home from Spain.”
A neighbour at Stephen’s apartment block in Govan, Glasgow, said: “I saw police arrive and knew something was wrong.
“I didn’t realise his brother was a famous footballer, he kept that to himself.”
Charlie’s sister Janice, 60, died in 2014 after battling cancer while his father, Charlie senior, also died of the disease, aged 76, in 2009. Stephen and Charlie were pallbearers at his funeral.
A police spokesman said: “The death is non-suspicious and a post-mortem will be carried out.”
