Donald Trump sacks fiery campaign manager who masterminded his drive for the Presidency

DONALD Trump has sacked the fiery campaign manager who masterminded his drive for the Presidency in an unexpected move.
A spokesman for Republican Trump yesterday announced Corey Lewandowski would “no longer be working with the campaign.”
The news was such a surprise some Trump workers only learned of it through the media.
The sacking comes after Trump’s call to ban Muslims from entering the US has triggered a backlash from senior Republican politicians.
It also prompted corporate sponsors like Apple and JPMorgan Chase to withhold funding from the party's July nominating convention in Cleveland.
Lewandowski is known for his brusque manner and is said to have clashed with other aides.
He was accused of “manhandling” a female reporter in Florida during the campaign.
A former New Hampshire field director for a conservative advocacy group, he had been with Trump since the wealthy New York developer began his unconventional White House bid a year ago.
Lewandowski did not immediately respond to requests for comment and is still scheduled to attend the Cleveland convention as the chairman of New Hampshire's delegation.
