What time is the two minute silence for Remembrance Day?
Remembrance Day is always marked on November 11 and is a memorial to remember those members of the armed forces who have fought and died in the line of duty.
In 2022, this will be on a Friday.
The tradition was first started by King George V in 1919 to mark the end of World War I.
Hostilities formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month", in accordance with the armistice.

A two minute silence is held at 11am to remember those who sadly lost their life in all wars.
Members of the Commonwealth adopted Remembrance Day, while the US chose Veterans Day.

Why do we hold a two minute silence?
The first two minute silence in the UK was held on November 11, 1919, when King George V asked the public to observe a silence at 11am.
This was one year after the end of World War One.
He made the request so "the thoughts of everyone may be concentrated on reverent remembrance of the glorious dead".
Therefore, the UK falls silent each year for two minutes as a sign of respect and a time for reflection.
What events are happening for Remembrance Day in 2022?
Events are being held across the country on Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday.
On Sunday, November 13, the National Service of Remembrance will be held at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, London.
During the service, King Charles will lay a new wreath, the design of which pays tribute to the wreath of His Majesty’s grandfather, King George VI, and Queen Elizabeth II.
The service will start at 11am and members of the public are welcome to watch the ceremony from the pavements along Whitehall and Parliament Street.
No tickets or passes are needed to attend, however, entry may be limited if the area becomes full.
Whitehall we be open to the public from 8am.
The service will also be televised on the BBC, Sky and ITV, as well as being broadcast live on the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport's YouTube channel.
On Friday, November 11, the National Memorial Arboretum will broadcast their annual Armistice Day Service of Remembrance, live from the Armed Forces Memorial.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will be attending the service, which will be available to watch from 10.45am, .
On Saturday, November 12, members of the Royal Family will attend the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.
Those attending will include, The King and The Queen Consort, The Prince and Princess of Wales, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra.
When did World War 1 end?
World War 1 came to an end on November 11, 1918, when the armistice was signed by Germany and the Allies at Compiègne, France.
The agreement marked victory for the Allies and a defeat for Germany, although it was not formally a surrender.
The end of the war happened at exactly 11am.
