The former primary school teacher said her late sibling’s name can “live on” after her brother was stabbed to death by a school friend aged just 17 on March 2 last year.

Jade has been through a “living hell” after her mum struggled with losing Yousef and died herself “from a broken heart” last May.

Jade told The Sun: “It’s so nice that Yousef’s name can live on, and that we have a focus, something positive to come out of everything that’s happened.”

Husband Mazen Akoum, 30, said: “We’re really, really happy, really pleased.
Yousef’s name can be shouted around the house once again. It’s a great tribute.”

The couple, who have three older sons Raafat, 11, Zack, 3, and Daniel, 2, revealed Yousef’s birth came after nine miscarriages and a stillbirth in recent years.

He weighed a healthy 6lbs 9ozs and mother and baby were yesterday allowed home.

Her brother Yousef, a scholarship pupil at Manchester Grammar School who dreamed of being a heart surgeon, was stabbed through the heart by a friend.

Jade said the decision to name their baby in memory of Yousef was backed by Deborah and the teenager’s father, Ghaleb Makki.

The family are continuing to raise funds to bring a civil court claim against Yousef’s killer, and a full inquest is due to be held into his death next year.
