JENNA Ellis is widely known as a former member of Donald Trump's legal team.

Who is Jenna Ellis?

Ellis is an American lawyer and author known for being the former legal advisor for Trump.

Born November 1, 1984, Ellis got her law degree in 2011 after graduating from the University of Richmond School of Law, prior to that she attended Colorado State University.

In 2020, reported that Ellis was fired from the Weld County DA's office after making mistakes.

According to documents obtained by the outlet, Ellis "failed to meet the employer’s expectations," and ";made mistakes on cases the employer believes she should not have made."

Ellis was hired as a senior legal advisor in November 2019 for Trump's 2020 Campaign.

She remained in this position until February 2021.

Since representing Trump, Ellis has landed her own podcast via Salem Media Group which she still holds as of August 2023.

According to her LinkedIn, Ellis is also a contributor for Newsmax Media.

Ellis was previously married to David Rives, a TV host and podcaster.

The couple married in June 2019 and then reportedly separated months after the wedding in August 2019.

Did Jenna Ellis quit the Republican Party?

On Monday, July 12, 2021, Ellis announced she was leaving the Republican Party during a monologue on her Real America’s Voice show Just The Truth.

Ellis rage-quit the party after claiming that they are not backing former President Trump enough, she also accused the Republican National Committee of "not championing the issues" to make America great.

"All of them, including Ronna McDaniel, should resign now," she said.

"Until they do, as of today, I am resigning from the party, I am changing my voter registration and I am no longer a Republican until the party decides that it wants to be conservative again."

"Even if I stand alone for the truth, I will stand for the truth," she concluded.

As of 2021, Ellis is now a part of the Independent Party.

Where is Jenna Ellis today?

On August 14, 2023, Trump alongside 18 of his associates, including Ellis, have been charged with conspiracy and racketeering charges in Georgia over the 2020 election interference.

According to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, they have been accused of refusing to accept his election loss and "knowingly and willfully joined conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump."

The indictment lists 41 charges against the 19 defendants.

"Defendant Donald John Trump lost the United States presidential election held on November 3, 2020. One of the states he lost was Georgia," the indictment reads.

"Trump and the other defendants charged in this indictment refused to accept that Trump lost, and they knowingly and willfully joined conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump.

"That conspiracy contained common plan and purpose to commit two or more acts of racketeering activity in Fulton County, Georgia, elsewhere in the State of Georgia, and in other states."

The indictment claims that the defendants "unlawfully conspired and endeavored to conduct and participate in criminal enterprise in Fulton County, Georgia, and elsewhere."

Ellis amongst the others being charged faces racketeering charges and must turn themselves in by noon on August 25.

Following the indictment, Ellis released a statement saying: "The Democrats and the Fulton County DA are criminalizing the practice of law.

"I am resolved to trust the Lord and I will simply continue to honor, praise, and serve Him. I deeply appreciate all of my friends who have reached out offering encouragement and support."

A trial schedule is set to be released within the week with hopes of "a trial date within the next six months," according to District Attorney Fani Willis.
