Glasgow PS5 scalper selling console for £950 sent to comedy club by prankster

A GLASGOW PS5 scalper who asked for more than DOUBLE retail value for the new console was sent to a comedy club by a cheeky prankster.

The next-gen console, which retails for £359, was listed on Gumtree for £950.

It comes with parents desperate to secure a console for Christmas with stock low amongst retailers.

A prankster decided to get his own back on a seller who had upped the price of the PlayStation to £950.



The seller, named Mustapha, was asked to drop off the console to a buyer at the The Stand Comedy club since the price he was wanting was a JOKE.

The prankster waited until the seller arrived at the venue before revealing he wouldn't be buying the PS5 at the majorly inflated price.

The messages read: "You sure you're at the comedy club?

"Great, now you can walk in and tell them you're trying to sell a PS5 for a grand.

"I am sure you will end up with a job in there."

The post which has been shared on Twitter and Facebook was loved by social media users.

 

One said: "This is outstanding work. Well done lad".

Another replied: "This is what they all deserve".

A third commented: "Hahhahahahah. 100% deserved!"

It comes as we told how a Glasgow builder revealed he left a PS5 seller hanging over a 'scummy' £850 listing.

Andrew Tough, from Glasgow, said he was "sick" of opportunists using the high demand to squeeze extra cash out of desperate parents.
