Migrant sex fiend who preyed on four women in the space of four hours is caged
Judge says Algerian Mehdi Midani caused 'terror' in drug and drink-fuelled sex attacks
AN illegal immigrant who sexually assaulted seven women in ten days has been jailed.
Algerian Mehdi Midani, 28, targeted lone women within weeks of arriving in the UK and struck four times in four hours on one occasion.
He downed whisky and vodka and took cocaine before each attack as part of a "desire to seek sexual gratification", a court heard.
Midani had come to the UK illegally via Ireland shortly before the attacks began.
UK Border agencies have found “no record” of his arrival, the court was told.
He stuck his hands up the skirts of victims or groped their breasts after lurking near Tube stations in Brixton and Clapham, South London.
Judge Nicholas Madge said he caused “terror”.
He added: “You moved from one offence in an evening to two in an evening to four in an evening.
“You waited, watched and followed women.”
One victim had only been out of the house for three minutes when she was set upon, the court heard.
And in a victim impact statement, one woman said she had been attacked in a “profoundly terrifying way” and now “struggled to meet new friends”.
Another recalled how a delivery driver had given her a “panic attack” when he came to the door recently, while a third has stopped going to the gym before work because it is still dark.
Midani’s first attack took place in October after he followed a woman in Brixton, South London, then reached up her dress and groped her.
She yelled, “What the f***, I don’t know you!” and Midani escaped.
But four days later he struck twice within an hour.

Judge Nicholas Madge
He put his hand between one woman’s legs from behind as she got to her front door in Clapham, fleeing when she screamed.
He attacked again less than a mile away, pulling a 26-year-old to the floor before groping and kissing her.
Police were able to get a DNA sample from the victim’s cheek.
After a gap of two days Midani struck four times in quick succession across Brixton.
At 7.20pm he tailed a 28-yearold woman to her home then grabbed her and groped her breasts.
At 9.24pm he assaulted a woman of 29 near her home.
At 10.20pm Midani pushed a 31-year-old woman into a block of flats and sexually assaulted her before running away.
And at 11.30pm he put his hand up a 32-year-old woman’s skirt.
Three days later Midani again struck in Brixton, slapping a woman on the bottom then fleeing when she shouted for help.
Midani, of no fixed address, was jailed for eight years after being convicted of six sex attacks and a common assault, and admitting a sexual assault, at Inner London crown court.
