A SELECTION of breathtakingly beautiful mansions, including a £40million London pad, are among this year's most-viewed dream homes.
Tired of homemade sourdough and Zoom quizzes, Brits battled the lockdown boredom by scrolling through multi-million pound properties, according to Rightmove.
The top five luxury dwellings include a 10-bedroom home with panoramic views over London's Hampstead Heath and its own spa.
The colossal home in North London boasts a glass lift that flits between the three floors and comes with two acres of land.
The lucky homeowners are treated to their own private view over Hampstead Heath - one of the city's most beautiful spots.
Over in the Essex countryside is number two on the list, nestled in the middle of a whopping 52 acres of private land.
The five bed home has its own Olympic-sized equestrian centre, boasts an impressive underground car port – big enough to accommodate a fleet of ten supercars and a swanky indoor swimming pool.
LIFE OF LUXURY
Over in Surrey, situated in almost four acres of perfectly manicured lawns is a stunning seven-bedroom mansion designed by architect Julian Bicknell and is on the market for £22.49million.
Inside the country home is a domed and galleried entrance hall, a cinema room, a semi-circular orangery that links to a swimming pool, sauna, spa and gym.
Just a short wander from the Lord's Cricket Ground and Abbey Road studios is number four on the list.
The ultra modern eight-bedroom property in Primrose Hill comes complete with its own wine cellar, a cosy private movie theatre, a games room, a gym as well as its very own private bar.
And last, number five, a Georgian-style mansion with an indoor two-lane bowling alley, complete with disco lighting is on the market for £30million.
Perhaps reflective of the times, this year no penthouses made the cut - suggesting homeowners have desired a little more space this year.
Rightmove’s Director of Property Data Tim Bannister said: “We’ve seen many new trends unfold this year as home-movers have reassessed their housing needs and reprioritised what’s important to them.
"However, one thing that’s remained constant is the nation’s curiosity to look inside the most amazing homes currently on the market and there’s no mistaking that these five properties are the crème de la crème this year.
"Although what’s really interesting about this year’s annual round-up is that there aren’t any penthouse apartments in the list, which reflects a national trend of people wanting more space – both when they’re browsing dream homes as well as when they’re searching Rightmove for something a little more affordable.”
