Tired of homemade sourdough and Zoom quizzes, Brits battled the lockdown boredom by scrolling through multi-million pound properties, according to Rightmove.

Perhaps reflective of the times, this year no penthouses made the cut - suggesting homeowners have desired a little more space this year.

Rightmove’s Director of Property Data Tim Bannister said: “We’ve seen many new trends unfold this year as home-movers have reassessed their housing needs and reprioritised what’s important to them. 

"However, one thing that’s remained constant is the nation’s curiosity to look inside the most amazing homes currently on the market and there’s no mistaking that these five properties are the crème de la crème this year.
