Heart-stopping moment surgeons pull rusty spanner from a man’s throat in India… then laugh about it
Doctor took several tries to yank the DIY tool out of the patient's gullet
THIS is the incredible moment that Indian surgeons manage to pull a massive wrench out of a man’s throat.
In the amazing clip a man lies helpless on an operating table as several surgeons stand around him.
The unfortunate man has a large pole sticking out of his mouth.
The surgeon tries to remove the tool slowly by inserting a smaller piece of wire or string through the tube.
Once it is fully inserted, the doctor is able to take the tube away and try to tug at the spanner to pull it out of the man’s gullet.
Other doctors standing around hold metal instruments to help the man keep his mouth open during the difficult surgery.
At times the surgeon appears to struggle to yank the wrench out.
He tugs a number of times before changing his grip and purchase.
Finally, the doctor manages to get hold of the wrench itself and begin to pull it up the man’s throat.
The tool eventually slides out of the man’s mouth quite easily.
The doctors around the skilled surgeon clap and cheer as he triumphantly brandishes the wrench.
The men start to laugh as the rusty tool is passed around.
It is believed that the video was taken several years ago in India, but it has resurfaced in recent weeks.
Thousands of online viewers have already watched the incredible procedure.
