THE Manchester Arena bomber’s brother has been accused of playing games with bereaved families.
Hashem Abedi has admitted his key role in the plot, it emerged yesterday.
But relatives of the 22 dead hit out amid calls for him to repay £350,000 in legal aid for his trial — where he denied involvement.
Jade Clough, 32, of Stockport, Gtr Manchester, was injured in the blast along with nephew Jason, 20.
She said: “Why didn’t he just say that in court?
"It’s like he’s playing games with us. He’s got £350,000 in legal aid for his trial. Can we have that money back now?”
The public inquiry into the 2017 bombing at an Ariana Grande gig heard Abedi, 23, had confessed to “a full and knowing part” when quizzed by the hearing’s legal team in October.
But in court, he maintained he had no knowledge his brother Salman, 22, was planning a suicide attack.
He was found guilty of murder and is serving a minimum of 55 years.
Figen Murray, who lost her son Martyn Hett, 29, said: “Thinking back to that courtroom in August, it would have been more bearable for all of us if he told the truth then.”
