Wicked Kieran Corless, 19, went to the woman's home and tied her hands and feet with two dressing gown belts, strangled her, stripped her then raped her
THE victim of a vile rapist who was subjected to a brutal three-hour sex attack screamed "you don't want to do this!" during her horrifying ordeal.
Wicked Kieran Corless, 19, went to the woman's home and tied her hands and feet with two dressing gown belts, strangled her, stripped her then raped her before trying to kill himself.
The depraved sex attacker was jailed for nine years for his crimes today at Portsmouth Crown Court.
His victim, who can't be named for legal reasons, told a court that following the vile assault Corless broke down and attempted to commit suicide, first by taking an overdose of pills then by trying to hang himself.
During the trial she told how she had been so scared of Corless that when he came to her house she answered the door holding a knife behind her back which then triggered an argument.
She said she thought Corless was going to kill her as he carried out his disgusting attack, and that she was only able to escape when he broke down.
She said: "I was screaming 'You don't want to do this, you don't want to do this!'
"He bent me over and I remember thinking 'I think he is going to rape me, I know he is going to rape me in a minute'.
"I knew he was going to kill me. I remember thinking so clearly in my head 'I am going to die. I know I am going to die'."
The court heard how a few days before the attack Corless had posted a lit firework through his victim's letterbox.

Corless, from Lee-on-Solent, Hants, was jailed for nine years after being found guilty of rape at Portsmouth Crown Court.
Following the verdict investigating officer Detective Constable Rebecca Brown said: "The victim doesn't need to be scared any more, because the sentence imposed allows her to carry on with her life safe in the knowledge that justice has been served.
"The sentence imposed shows just how seriously the courts take this kind of offence.
"The victim was very brave at court and remained strong throughout a long and difficult cross examination from defence counsel. The conduct of the victim and her family throughout the trial was very dignified.
"Overwhelming relief is the best way to describe how the victim and her family feel about the fact that Corless has been sentenced."
Corless was arrested at the scene and bailed but a major manhunt was launched when Corless failed to turn up at the police station to answer the charges.
Corless denied the assault, which took place on November 13 last year, claiming the pair had consensual sex, after which an argument broke out when he confessed to her that he might be gay.
But the jury disagreed and found him guilty of rape and sexual assault following a five day trial. He was found not guilty of attempting to render someone unconscious, insensible or incapable of resistance with intent.
