Foreign nurses will be allowed to take English language test TWICE so they are fully ‘competent to deliver high class care’
Nursing and Midwifery Council said the change will 'increase flexibility for applicants' while ensuring standard met

REGULATORS have been urged to make sure all nurses are “fully competent to deliver high-class care” after changes to the English language test for foreign staff.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) said nurses and midwives applying to join the UK register would now be able to take the language assessment over two sittings rather than one.
The NMC said the change will “increase flexibility for applicants” but also ensures the standard is met.
