The man pulled his Land Rover Discovery across two lanes of traffic to block the learner after becoming frustrated with how slowly she was driving.
In the footage, the muscular tattooed driver approaches the car with a blade in his hand.
After failing to open the door, he walks round to the front and flashes his penis at the female driver.
He then kicks the car before driving away.
The driving instructor called police and the man was quickly arrested following the incident in the city of Krasnodar in south-west Russia.
The man, who has not been named, was jailed for ten days for disorderly conduct but could face up to two years in prison if convicted of threatening to kill.
He denies the offence.
