Candace Owens shares pics of fiery BLM riots and claims Antifa activists were part of mob who stormed Capitol
CANDACE Owens shared pictures of fiery Black Lives Matter riots and baselessly claimed Antifa were part of the mob who stormed Capitol on Wednesday.
Owens' conspiracy tweet was met with backlash, as she was slammed for "fanning the fire."
"Truly disgraceful.
"Oh wait—my mistake. These are actually from the BLM 'protests' over the summer."
Those in the movement "believe in active, aggressive opposition to far right-wing movements," according to the ADL.
"[There is] some pretty compelling evidence from a facial recognition company showing that some of the people who breached the Capitol today were not Trump supporters, but were masquerading as Trump supporters, and in fact were members of the violent terrorist group Antifa," he said.
Owens, founder of "Blexit," which seeks to have black voters "exit from the Democratic Party," as she told in 2018 – has been known to make bizarre claims.
