Riley Roberts is a native of Scottsdale, Arizona.
He attended Boston University where he met AOC in 2011.
Roberts' LinkedIn says he earned dual degrees in Sociology and Finance at Boston University and attended Boston University's Questrom School of Business.
He currently works as a marketing professional.

According to a profile, AOC described Roberts as an "easygoing redhead."
AOC and Roberts met in "true nerdy fashion" after they both attended a weekly Friday afternoon conversation hosted by the dean of Boston University, called Coffee and Conversation.

AOC and Roberts have been dating for over seven years now.
The couple broke up after graduating from Boston University when Roberts moved back to Arizona.

After reviving their relationship, Roberts decided to move in with AOC in the Parkchester neighborhood of the Bronx, where they still reside.
AOC is reportedly close with Roberts' mother, Connie, a real estate agent from Arizona.
Connie bought AOC a pearl necklace she frequently wears.
"We wanted her to know she was special. It was given to her with love," Connie told .
As for AOC's family, her mother told in a 2019 interview, "'I love him."
"He is the most loving, supporting person I've seen."

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, better known by her initials AOC, is a Bronx native and is an American politician serving as the US representative for New York's 14th congressional district since 2019.
AOC, 33, drew national recognition after she defeated Democratic Caucus Chair Joe Crowley, a 10-term incumbent, in the 2018 midterm election primaries.
She defeated Republican opponent Anthony Pappas in the November 2018 general election.
When the 116th Congress convened on January 3, 2019, AOC entered with no seniority, but with a large social media presence.
She was re-elected to a second term in 2020 after defeating John Cummings.
She was elected for another term in the November 2022 US midterms.
During the riots on Capitol Hill, AOC publicly spoke out about her fear of losing her life as a result of the violent protests on January 6.
Inside the halls of the Capitol during the riots, AOC said she and others were prepared for the possibility of dying.
"I certainly was thinking that (dying) was a possibility and I know many members thought that was a possibility as well, the security breaches are extremely serious and deserve investigations on their own," she said.
