What did Boris Johnson announce?

Mr Johnson announced that he will be ending the travel corridor allowances in a bid to slow the spread of coronavirus from outside Britain.

Travelling to Brazil, Portugal and Cape Verde was banned on Friday morning, leaving many stranded.

But the Prime Minister revealed that all travel corridors will be postponed from Monday that will apply to all of the devolved nations, including Wales and Scotland.

This means that if you are travelling from another country, you must have proof of a negative test in 72 hours before departing, have filled in passenger locator form and you will be asked by your airline to confirm these.

You could also be checked upon arrival and face ";substantial fines for refusing to comply".

When arriving back into the UK, you must also quarantine for ten days and refrain from leaving your home.

Mr Johnson revealed this can be shortened if you take another swab test on day five and await a negative test result.

The PM revealed that they "will be stepping up their enforcement at the border and in the country."
