British stag do reveller has three teeth smashed out and groom’s brother is arrested after drunken fight with American football player in Magaluf
Brother thrown in jail while still wearing his stag shirt with the groom's face on them
A GROOM’s brother ended up behind bars after members of a British stag do came to blows with an American football player during a raucous night out in Magaluf.
The 6ft 2in professional sportsman, an American quarterback who plays for a team in Germany, allegedly smashed three of his victim’s teeth during the drunken scrap.
He was arrested along with the unnamed brother of the groom, who like the other stag revellers was still wearing a T-shirt with a photo of his sibling’s face on it when he was thrown into a police cell.
The Brit was ordered to pay £1260 after appearing before a judge in a private court hearing before being released on bail pending an ongoing judicial investigation.
The cash will be used to cover any future liability arising from the altercation, which is thought to have happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Brit and the American, who was released after paying around £5000 because the injuries he allegedly caused were more serious, will continue to be probed on suspicion of assault before the judge decides whether to formally charge them.
They told authorities they were drunk at the time of the altercation and had no real recollection of what happened.

The cause of the row, which started as a verbal argument before ending in a fist-fight, has not been revealed or who started the trouble.
It is understood members of the stag party resisted the attempts of local police and Guardia Civil to carry out the arrests, although the authorities could not immediately confirm this on Tuesday.
A source close to the inquiry said: “The Brits outnumbered the American but his size made up for it.
“He’s an absolute giant, more than 6ft 2in tall and weighing nearly 16 stone.
“Whoever started the trouble, the Brits got involved with the wrong man.”
The altercation happened just 48 hours after three members of another British stag party in Magaluf fell foul of the resort’s strict new rules for tourists by walking through the town in just G-strings.
Two men were stopped by police and reported for semi-nakedness and a third for having no clothes on at all.
They were ordered to cover up after being identified and given penalty notices.
A council spokesman said they would face fines that would be sent to them in Britain if they decided not to appeal.
