MURDER Squad detectives probing the fatal stabbing of a teenager yards from the bookshop featured in the film Notting Hill have arrested three young suspects aged 15 and 16.

Friends said the "lovely" youngster was set upon after he stepped in to protect another lad as a "silly beef" turned violent.

He collapsed two doors down from the bookshop where Hugh Grant met Julia Roberts in the Hollywood blockbuster.

Today Scotland Yard said two 16-year-old boys were arrested last night on suspicion of murder. They will be quizzed at separate central London police stations.

A third boy aged 15 was arrested earlier yesterday.

The Met said: "Detectives investigating the murder of a teenage boy in Notting Hill have made an arrest in connection with the investigation.

"The 15-year-old boy was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder and currently remains in custody at a central London police station."

The arrests come as Fola's older brother Ola said he was "sorry for not being there to protect you" in a heartfelt tribute on Facebook today.

Ola, a trainee actor at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London, has written and performed in plays about violence among younger people.

He wrote: "Never in my life could I imagine I'd be doing this, never could I think I'd be imagining what your last moments were like; how cold you must have been, how scared you were and I'm sorry.

"I'm sorry I didn't see you as much as I should have, I'm sorry I deleted that comment you put on my Insta 2days before your last breath because I thought you were being childish.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you, like a big brother should even though you were bigger.

"The fact that you're gone hasn't dawned on me, it never will. I miss you so much and I think I'm going crazy. I LOVE YOU with all of my shattered heart!
Rest In Perfect Peace My Young King!"

Fola, who was studying for his A-levels, was the fourth teenager stabbed to death in London this year.

It is understood a fight broke out on a nearby housing estate and he was chased by youths on bikes before he was knifed in the neck close to posh Westbourne Grove.

Drinkers in the Portobello Star pub saw him stagger past and rushed to help as he collapsed from his fatal wounds.

Paramedics tried to save him but he died at the scene.

Mark Gettleson, who lives nearby, said: ";There were two large pools of blood where he had staggered down the road before collapsing.

"People saw him fall down and try to get to his feet again. Police and medics tried to resuscitate him for a long time.

“This will shake people around here to the core. It’s absolutely tragic."

A friend of the victim said as he laid flowers at the scene yesterday: “Fola was a lovely boy. So lovely. He wouldn’t hurt a fly.

“I know what happened, he was protecting a friend over a silly beef which turned violent.

Another friend Mohammed Aissaoui, a bank manager, said on Facebook: "I love you so much bro I'll never forget you rest in peace xxx"

Police are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses.
