THIS is the wild moment a thief shattered a moving car's back window and allegedly stole a drone and $7,000 worth of equipment.
Dashcam footage from a nearby Tesla captured the Friday afternoon robbery in San Francisco traffic.
The driver of the Tesla shared the harrowing footage to social media early Saturday morning.
Twitter user - the Tesla's driver - shared the video clip, along with the caption: "Highway robbery in SF- caught on my TeslaCam."
In the video, a black Honda is seen pulling next to a silver Prius before a man jumped out from the rearseat and into the street.
Moments later, the thief is seen bashing the Pruis' back window.
It took less than four seconds for the man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt to break the window, reach into his victims' car, and abruptly pull out what appears to be a large bag.
Once the suspect got back in the Honda, the vehicle sped off in another direction.
As soon as the Prius' driver and passenger stepped out of their car, the robbers had already gotten away.
The 21-second dashcam video has since received more than 1.9million views on Twitter.
The victim - real estate photographer Ben Barghabany - recalled his stolen items, a drone and $7,000 worth of camera equipment, as "the most expensive stuff that we had," according to .
Barghabany, who was in the car alongside his wife, told the news outlet he suspects the theif began following him after he was using the drone outside his house.
The pair were at a stop on the Interstate 80 on-ramp when the incident occurred.
