BARGAIN hunters queued through the night in the pouring rain to be first through the door at a new Aldi supermarket.

The first 100 in got golden tickets which they could swap for prizes.
Locals said the store opening had bought a "feel good" factor to the St John's area of Worcester.
And despite intense competition to grab a bargain, queuers were allowed to leave shopping bags to keep their place while used the toilet at a nearby McDonald's.
First in the queue Colin Fortey, 48, managed to walk away with a giant £300 Bauhn HD television for free because he was first through the doors.
He queued for 14 hours to see GB Olympic hockey star Sally Walton open the store at 8am yesterday.
He was first in — and got a £300 HD TV for free.

He said he had been warned by his partner he “wasn’t allowed home” if he did not scoop the TV.
Colin, of Worcester, added: “It was cold and wet but worth it to get my hands on the telly. I’m going back to bed now to sleep for the day.”
Other prizes handed out to the first 100 shoppers included smart phones and bags full with £15 worth of Aldi shopping.
The store, which is on the site of a former PC World, has created 40 jobs in Worcester with some roles still to be filled.
Store manager Elisha Chambers said: "The grand opening event was a great success and I thoroughly enjoyed welcoming our new customers to the store.
"It was great to see so many customers enjoying our special offers and fantastic to see 100 people walking away with a prize.
