Microsoft mocked for recruitment email promising aspiring interns “hella noms” and “beer pong” at party

The invite signed off “Hell yes to getting lit on a Monday night"

MICROSOFT has become the butt of an Internet joke, after an email promising interns “hella noms” and “beer pong” at a party to encourage new recruits was leaked.

The computer giant was hosting the event as part of the annual Internapalooza, which gives aspiring tech employees the chance to mingle with like-minded individuals who are all hoping for a career with a Silicon Valley company.

However the email spectacularly backfired, and its promises of “the best beats” and a sign off of “Hell yes to getting lit on a Monday night,” saw the company become something of a laughing stock on social media.

It was branded: “disastrous”, “cringe”, “awkward” and “a fail.”

Microsoft said: "The email was poorly worded and not in keeping with our values as a company.

"We are looking into how this occurred and will take appropriate steps to address it.”

The gaff comes in the wake of a party the computer company hosted in March, which had dancers in skimpy schoolgirl type outfits. The women wore tiny plaid skirts and showed off bare midriffs as they gyrated for the crowd.

The gaffe comes after a party the computer company hosted in March, which had dancers in skimpy schoolgirl-type outfits.

The women wore tiny plaid skirts and showed off bare midriffs as they gyrated for the crowd.

They were dancing at the official Xbox party which was held at the game Developer Conference in San Francisco.

Their outfits left women at the event feeling uncomfortable, with many tweeting pictures saying they were going to make complaints.

Microsoft apologised saying the decision to employ the dancers was "unequivocally wrong."
