SAJID Javid will fly into India today to start post-Brexit trade talks with economic superpowers.
The Business Secretary is also visiting the US, China, Japan and South Korea.
And Whitehall has hired 300 specialists to help broker new deals and reshape our economy.
Around 44 per cent of UK exports currently go to the EU, with 17 per cent going to the US and eight per cent to Russia, Brazil, India and China.
Mr Javid, left, said: “My absolute priority is making sure the UK has the tools to continue to compete on the global stage.”
He is in India for talks with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The trip follows positive noises from a host of other nations including Australia, New Zealand and Canada after the vote to leave the EU.
China has signalled it wants a deal after Trade Minister Lord Price flew in for talks this week.
