A shopper shocked to find a WORM in her fish blasts supermarket for only giving her £10 voucher as compensation

A SHOPPER horrified to discover a live WORM in her fish has blasted a supermarket chain after they offered her just £10 as compensation.

Olivia Raffo, 25, was disgusted to break open a packet of cod pieces only to find the creepy crawly slithering around.

After filming the worm which was clearly still alive and taking pictures she sent her evidence to Aldi HQ but was offered just a £10 voucher in response.

Letting agent Olivia said: “It made me feel sick when I saw the black worm in my fish and I was horrified when it started moving.

“I have no idea why it was there or how it got there but I immediately pulled out my phone so I could show Aldi what had happened.

“The fish was clearly in a sealed plastic package but it managed to survive in a supposedly airtight package.

“I called the headquarters but I couldn’t believe it when they only offered me a £10 voucher back.

“The Aldi store near me hasn’t been open long but it has really made me think twice about using it again.

“I know it might be cheaper than some other shops but is it worth it if there’s live animals squirming about in your food?

“Their offer of a voucher was insulting. It’ll take more than that to get me back into Aldi.”

A spokesman for Aldi said: “The quality of our products is very important to us and incidents of this kind are extremely rare.

“We have informed our suppliers of this incident and have apologised to the customer for any distress this may have caused.”
