Who is Attorney General of New York Letitia James?
LETITIA James is the 67th attorney general of New York state.
She is the first woman of color to hold statewide office in and the first woman to be elected attorney general.
Who is Letitia James?
James was born on October 18, 1958, and grew up in Brooklyn.
Known as "Tish," she graduated from Lehman College and Howard University School of Law before launching her career as a public defender at the Legal Aid Society.
James, a , was elected public advocate for in 2013 and won the statewide attorney general post five years later.

What did she say about the allegations against Governor Andrew Cuomo?
On August 3, James announced that an independent investigation found New York Governor sexually harassed multiple current and former staffers.
"Governor and in doing so violated federal and state law," James said on August 3 about the bombshell report.
James added: “The independent investigation found that governor Cuomo harassed multiple women, many of whom were young women, by engaging in unwanted groping, kisses, hugging, and by making inappropriate comments."
The 168-page document detailing allegations of "unwelcome and nonconsensual touching" against the governor was published on August 3 by James' office.
Investigators also found the governor and his team retaliated against at least one former employee who complained publicly about his conduct.
James also accused the governor of cultivating a "toxic workplace," leaving employees fearful of coming forward with misconduct complaints, enabling "harassment to occur".

More than half a dozen sexual harassment allegations were leveled against Cuomo earlier this year, with the claims ranging from instances of unwanted kisses, hugs, and groping, as well as inappropriate remarks of a sexual nature.
James said her investigation revealed "a deeply disturbing, yet clear picture” and “conduct that corrodes the very fabric and character of our state government and shine lights on the injustice that can be present at the highest levels of government.”
Cuomo, a Democrat darling at the onset of the pandemic, has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.
