Gordon Ramsay wins eight-month battle against locals in leafy village to demolish his multi-million pound holiday home
Celebrity chef, 49, wants to build two luxury houses on the exclusive Cornwall plot
GORDON Ramsay has won his eight-month battle with neighbours to have his multi-million pound holiday home demolished.
The celebrity chef, 49, wants to knock down the luxury £4.4million seaside home and build two separate houses on the land.
But 17 locals in Rock, Cornwall, objected and objected to the Kitchen Nightmares star’s plans fearing it would “destroy the area”.
Ramsay's next door neighbour, catering tycoon Andrew Nisbet, told the council the chef had not responded to his concerns, describing it as "disappointing" and demonstrating "a lack of consideration for local resident's concerns".
But Cornwall Council ruled that Ramsay was free to go ahead with the works.

The chef, who also has homes in Malibu and London, now has three years to start the project.
As part of the approved application, he will also have to install privacy screens to the first floor terrace of the main home and obscure glazing on part of the annex to protect the privacy of his next-door neighbours.
The main house, which will be around 100 yards from the beach will have two kitchens, a swimming pool, a wine cellar and four en-suite bathrooms.
At the foot of the garden will be the three-bedroom annex, which will also have three bathrooms, an open-plan living room and kitchen and a boat store.
The £4.4 million he paid for the 1920s home was the priciest deal of the year in Cornwall last year and one of the highest on record, according to Land Registry figures.
It is 25 times the average price of a home in the county.
