Dress-down Cameron leaves the plush seven bedroom £17m mansion where he and his family now live
The Camerons have rented the seven-bedroom property from David's PR friend Sir Alan Parker
A DRESSED down David Cameron was spotted leaving his new £17million house in posh Kensington and Chelsea this afternoon.
The former Prime Minister relaxed into his new life in a pair of jeans and loafers as he left the three-storey mansion in upmarket Holland Park.
The MP was spotted reading a copy of his favourite newspaper, The Sun, dressed in a pair of skinny jeans and shirt.
He enjoyed a coffee with sacked George Osborne at cafe Lisboa in north Kensington at around 10am.
Cameron, a regular visitor to the cafe before he was Prime Minister, chose to sit at an outside table in full view of passers-by.
One cafe-goer, who asked not to be named, said: "I used to see him here quite a bit before he was Prime Minister.
"I think he missed his visits. He looked quite tired, but relaxed.
"I went over to him and said; 'Heh, big fella. How is it going?
"He looked up and smiled at me but didn't say anything.
"One of his bodyguards then came over and asked me to 'give him a break' and I left him alone."
Cameron did not completely escape being bothered during his cafe break.
The cafe-goer added: "Poor man, while I was talking to him, people were walking past and shouting 'Brexit' at him."
Cameron is renting the seven-bedroom terraced house from PR pal Sir Alan Parker, situated on one of the most expensive roads in the capital.
The family arrived on the tree-lined streets, which is home to a host of well-known celebrities, under armed police escort after leaving Downing Street yesterday afternoon.
David and Samantha were left in a bind after being unable to live in either their Oxfordshire home or the property they own in London.
Their Kensington house is currently being rented out and the family want to stay in London so the couple's children Nancy, 12, Elwen, 10 and Florence, five, can stay on at their nearby private schools.
It has forced the Camerons to find an alternative solution while they work out their next residential move.
The six bathroom and three reception room townhouse is owned by Sir Parker and his wife Lady Jane Hermione Parker.
The couple, who have holidayed with the former Prime Minister's family, bought the house in 2014.
It remains unclear whether the Camerons are renting the property as a long-term solution, or whether it is as temporary fix until they find a new place to rent.
Their house in Kensington is currently being rented out.
Two armed police officers have been posted outside the luxurious house since the Camerons' arrival yesterday and officers are carrying out regular sweeps of the street.
