Trains severely delayed after an escaped WALLABY causes travel chaos in Yorkshire

A WALLABY caused "mayhem" after escaping from a farm and ending up on train tracks in Yorkshire.
Transpennine services between Stalybridge and Huddersfield were halted while attempts were made to catch the animal around 11.15am.
The wallaby escaped from a farm in Marsden, West Yorkshire, which houses three of the animals.
A witness said:“It was causing mayhem for about half an hour. It has now been captured and has been taken back to it’s farm.”

The animal was coaxed off the tracks but is still on the loose.
It is believed he has been on the run for the past five days.
Ross Easton, from Network Rail, said: "With summer holidays coming up, we are reminding everyone - especially kids and young people - to stay off the tracks.
"However, wallabies are a new one on us.
"We hope the little critter will have hopped off the track and back to safety."
It comes after a lynx escaped from a Dartmoor Zoo in Devon.
