Castle Eden mansion, in County Durham, sits in 2.2 acres of land and boasts a gym, putting green and personalised cinema room with security fencing and gates.

The former £60,000-a-week winger bought the five-bed home in 2012 and lived there with his girlfriend Stacey Flounders, who was pregnant with their child when he committed sex acts with a schoolgirl.

Stacey, 26, remained faithful to Johnson throughout his trial but reportedly moved out of the home with their one-year-old daughter Ayla weeks after he was found guilty.

Johnson, 29, is now reportedly working for £20-a-week as a hairdresser at category C Moorland Prison near Doncaster, South Yorks.

But his 23-year-old sister Faye – who set up a Facebook page called Adam Johnson’s Appeal Fight – revealed the news that the right to appeal had been denied.

She posted: “Absolutely devastated that the ‘single Judge has rejected my brother’s appeal against sentence and conviction’.

“But I can assure every supporter that I will never give up!”
