Nice lorry killer sent selfie as he partied with the festival goers he intended to murder
Fanatic rang his brother minutes before attack to tell him he was enjoying Bastille Day
THE evil driver who mowed down 84 innocents in Nice had been partying on the streets of the city moments earlier.
Monster Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel sent his brother a selfie soaking up the atmosphere among crowds celebrating France's Bastille Day.
Looking clean shaven and relaxed, he beamed with joy as revellers danced behind him on the seafront Promenade des Anglais.
The sicko then returned to his 19-tonne lorry and caused carnage by sending it careering into families he had joyously been marking French unity alongside.
The Sun told how Bouhlel also called his brother Jabeur, 20, from the lorry cab seconds before carrying out the ISIS inspired atrocity.
Student Jabeur yesterday revealed how he watched the drama unfold on TV and was panicked that his sibling was safe - oblivious to the fact he was behind the atrocity.
He told The Sun: "The photo he had sent me earlier, partying on the streets of Nice, made me fear he could have been a victim of the attack.
"He looked so calm and happy, like he was having the time of his life.
"He didn't look drunk or on drugs. He was a man enjoying Bastille Day with everyone else.
"He even rang me from the lorry cab. He told me he was enjoying the festival. He was calm.
"I heard about the attack and I was watching the coverage on TV with my family.
"We were worried sick and trying to get hold of him to check he was ok.
"Then they showed the lorry driver's body under a blanket on TV. I froze because I recognised his shoes. They were his favourite pair. I couldn't believe it.
"I just cannot come to terms with what has happened, and what was going through his head that day.

"How could he be partying with the very people he chose moments later to kill? "I'm waiting for the autopsy for proof it was really him, my brother. I just can't believe it."
Jabeur added: "My brother owned a property, had £100,000 in the bank through selling phones, had three kids and was rebuilding his life by getting divorced after his marriage went bad. I thought he was in a good place.
"He could get aggressive but I never thought he was violent. I just don't believe what happened."
The killer's father Mohamed Mondher Lahouaiej Bouhlel said yesterday he believed ISIS had got into his head.
He said: "My son had mental problems but he was recruited by ISIS.
"They must have recognised he was not in a good way and took advantage of that.
"I don't believe he was capable of deciding to do this on his own."
The family were last night holed up in their rundown home, which overlooks a cemetery, in Msaken. The small town is just six miles from Sousse, where a terrorist gunned down 38 holidaymakers including 30 Brits last year.
The religious family fear reprisals from angry locals, already reeling from the impact of tourists steering clear of southern Tunisia.
Two more people were yesterday arrested in the aftermath of the Nice terror attack.
Five people have so far been quizzed by police - including the killer's estranged wife - who was also his cousin - and mother in law.
Ten children were among the monster's victims. Another 202 were injured following the attack, with 85 still in hospital.
Father of three Bouhlel, 31, had a record of being a petty criminal but was not on the radar of intelligence services.
He drank, smoked and took drugs and did not observe Ramadan, according to friends.
The Sun revealed that the crazed terrorist was inspired by pals who aided Sousse gunman Seifiddine Rezgui Yacoubi, 23.
Tunisia's Interior Ministry believe terror sympathisers, said to include associates of Bouhlel, did not participate directly but provided the Kalashnikov, and led Rezgui to the scene.
The beach slaughter "focused and thrilled" Bouhlel, a family friend said.
