Dad-of-two killed after being gunned down outside church in terrifying shooting as cops launch murder probe
A SOLICITOR and dad-of-two was gunned down outside of a church in South Yorkshire last night.
The man, named locally as Khuram Javed, was found by police in Sheffield after suffering life-threatening injuries from a gunshot.
A family friend, Aftab Ahmed said Khuram has always come across as a quiet lad.
He said: "I mostly saw him out and about with his young family. Just a tragic loss for the family as I don't know the details of how the incident happened.
"Absolutely just a senseless taking of a young life."
Pakistan Muslim Centre's Allama Iqbal Sunday Cricket League also posted a tribute on their Facebook page.
They said: "It is with great sadness to inform you that our beloved brother Khuram Javed has returned to Allah."
South Yorkshire police remain at the scene whilst officers conduct enquiries.
"If anyone has any information that might help, please call 101 quoting incident number 984 of 10 April," South Yorks police said.
