WhatsApp has introduced a secret new way to make your messages look extra special
Update to world's most popular messaging app gives new powers to everyone who uses it
It has revolutionised the world of modern communications.
Now WhatsApp has made a tweak which could bring about a small but significant change to your own private messages.
The app has introduced a new font called FixedSys, which was used back in the original version of Windows.
All you need to do to access this option is to type the "`" character three times before the text you want changed and three times afterwards.
However, you won't be able to do this on Apple devices because the default keyboard doesn't have the right symbol. It's officially called the grave accent, if you're wondering.
Whatsapp has introduced all sorts of goodies in recent months.
It began allowing users to embed previous messages in your replies to people, which is handy if you're having a group chat and don't know who's talking.

The app also introduced bold and italic texts, giving your messages a bit more emotion.
Here's how to access these functions about make your textual intercourse a little bit more exciting.
- To make your text bold: Just put an asterisk before and after the text you want to highlight.
- To put a strike through certain words: Place an underscore (_) before and after the words you want struck through
- To make text appear in italics: Add a wobbly dash called a tilde (~) before and after the text
The text will then change in your message as long as you've got the very latest version of WhatsApp.
