Who will walk in front of Prince Philip's coffin?
A band of military personnel will walk in front of Prince Philip's coffin on Saturday, April 17.
Leading the funeral procession is a band of the Grenadier Guards.
And behind them will be the ADC to the Major General commanding the Household Divison, alongside the Brigade Major Household Division.
Centrally behind them will follow the Major General commanding the Household Division.
Then the Commander of the UK Strategic Command, the Vice Chief of the Defence Staff, and the Chief of the Air Staff will follow.
Behind them, and directly ahead of Prince Philip's coffin, is the Chief of the General Staff, the Chief of the Naval Staff, and the Chief of the Defence Staff.
When was Prince Philip a Colonel in the Band of the Grenadier Guards?
Prince Philip served as a Colonel of the Regiment of Grenadier Guards from 1975.
In 2017, the role was handed over to his second son, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.
Philip passed the title to his son as he retired from royal duties.
The Duke of Edinburgh had a long and illustrious career within the military.
Leaving school at 17, the Duke joined the Royal Navy as a cadet, arriving at the Britannia Royal Naval College and graduating as a top cadet.
And Prince Philip served as the Captain-General of the Royal Marines for over 64 years.
