Pippa Middleton confirms she will marry James Matthews next year as Kate and Wills say they are ‘delighted’ for the couple

PIPPA Middleton and her fiancé James Matthews have confirmed that they are engaged and will marry next year.

The happy couple released an official statement about the joyful news shortly after a beaming Pippa was pictured showing off her dazzling engagement ring in London on Tuesday.

The statement read: “Miss Pippa Middleton and Mr James Matthews are delighted to announce they became engaged on Sunday 17th July and plan to marry next year.”

The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister and her future husband will wed at some point in 2017 – in what is set to be one of the most talked about society weddings since William and Kate tied the knot five years ago.

And it wasn’t long before William and Kate revealed their own joy at the happy news as a spokesman for the royal couple said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are absolutely delighted with the news.”

Pippa was glowing as she beamed at well-wishers while in London on Tuesday morning and already seemed to have the wedding on her mind as she wore a bridal white summer dress which showed off her toned legs.

Her long locks were styled into light waves while she let her natural beauty shine through with subtle make-up.

Pippa’s partner James, 40, proposed last weekend while the couple were enjoying a getaway to the Lake District.

She has been dating the Hedge fund manager, who’s younger brother is former Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, for less than a year.
