HORRIFYING CCTV shows four men, one armed with a gun, forcing their way into a family home in Sydney, Australia.
The burglars can be seen prowling round the garden with their hoods raised to conceal their faces.
They then burst through the gate to the porch before the first thug kicks in the door.
At one point a hand gun with an alarmingly long barrel can be seen glinting in the darkness.
The four brutes then calmly make their way into the property where a nine year old girl was present.
After forcing their way inside they forced a 51-year-old man to the ground before firing a shot into a TV set.
They then stole the keys to a blue Holden Commodore and two of the gang can be leaving the house and heading towards the car.
Along with the man and the young girl another man aged 25 and a 45-year-old woman were also on the premises but fortunately no one was injured.
Two of the men are believed to have fled the scene in the stolen vehicle as the other pair left on foot.
New South Wales Police believe the attack may have been targeted as during a routine firearms search of the home they discovered several items that may be linked to the break-in.
Detectives also located a black bag nearby, which contained a shortened shotgun, a loaded pistol, and ammunition.
The police have described three of the men as being white and a fourth member as of a Maori or Pacific Islander appearance.
