Grief-stricken family mourn knife murder of second son in four years

A FAMILY was in mourning last night after the knife murder of a second son in four years.

Junior Jah, 18, was found dying on the pavement near his home.

Brother Ahmed Jah, 21, was stabbed 150 yards away in April 2017.

Junior — nicknamed Y. Grinna after his older brother, known as Grinna — was declared dead at the scene in Canning Town, East London, at 2.45pm on Monday.

A neighbour said: “I came out of my house and saw Junior lying there. They are a nice family. It’s so sad.”

No arrests have been made.

Speaking at the time of Ahmed’s death, his father Abubakarr Jah, a railway worker, said: “Young people need to put down their knives and stop the violence.

“It is destroying families and communities.”

Last night their parents and two surviving children were being comforted by relatives.

Junior is the 12th teen knifed to death in London this year.
